He Lives On The Train

Hans Hultqvist from Älmhult has solved his Stockholm housing-problem in a very unusual way. He lives on SJ´s trains and travels return to southern Sweden every night, according to Expressen.

Hans Hultqvist works at the Police Academy in Solna. Every day after work, he gets on the X2000 from Stockholm to Malmö and at eleven o`clock, after waiting 25 minutes, he gets on the night train back to Stockholm.

Hans Hultqvist pays 25 000 kr yearly to sleep on SJ´s trains, which corresponds to a monthly rent of 2083 kronor. On the train however, he must neither clean-up or make his bed. The one thing he is not completely satisfied with is the food. "The food tastes quite nice on the X2000, but there is no great variety", he says to Expressen.
